• TIPS FOR ACCURATE TEMPERATURE READINGS: Ear temperature is the closest to core body temperature, while forehead temperature is typically 0.5–0.9°F lower than ear. Minor variations(±0.4°F between one minute on the same side ear, ±0.5°F between ears) are normal. For best accuracy, avoid measuring immediately after exercise, bathing, or eating. Straighten the ear canal gently (up-back for adults, down-back for kids) for ear mode; keep forehead dry for forehead mode. NOTE: For daily home temperature checks only.
